KAYAKING

For friends and family, church and scout groups, beginners and experts alike, all will enjoy the Caddo.
The river has several really good swimming holes, and places to fish along the way, but Class I and II rapids
are frequent and help do much of the "paddling" for you. In the late summer you may have to do more of the
paddling yourself, but generally the Caddo stays a pretty good float, and in fact it's one of the most
consistent floating rivers in Arkansas.
Kayaks grow more and more popular every year.
The kids in particular enjoy this option!
In fact, compared to a canoe, they are much easier to handle!
| KAYAKS | $30 each $25 for 5+ |
Including life jacket, paddle, the standard 7-8 mile shuttle, and of course all taxes! |
| 2nd Day Rate | $25 flat rate per kayak | For floaters who stay overnight with us, or on the river. |

Gauge height in feet:
Low: 5.40 - 5.75
Some rocks at 5.75 to start having to get around,
great range for inexperienced boaters though.
Anything in this range is still floatable, but pack light!
Medium: 5.75 - 7.25
Great floating, few rocks, more boat control
(BEST RANGE)
Higher: 7.25 - 8.75
A fast-paced float for experienced boaters with almost
every rapid washed out above 7.50
Flood: 8.75 or greater
At 8.50 feet the river is starting to spread into flood
plain and running through dense strainers.
Cross currents become powerful.
Correct route is most important.
No rentals go out at this level.
